Warrior Werks – Workbench Ep. 65 – Hatchet Combo, Deer Hunter Rehandle & WestMark Restore

In this episode, I start work on brother Bruce’s Western knife/hatchet combo conversion project, fitting the hatchet into the handle assembly and beginning the modification process to make the combo functional. This one is going to take some machining, fitting, and ingenuity to pull off. I also continue work on Nate Calhoun’s Deer Hunter rehandle, re-profiling the blade and cleaning up the grinds on my waterfall platen. In between those projects, I restore a rough WestMark Model 702 — a Japanese-made lockback hunting knife known for solid construction and stainless steel build quality. This one took quite a bit of work but turned out great in the end. I also talk about Rex “Brother Trade-A-Blade” Wiseman’s Slipjoint Juice pivot lube, show how it works, and give my thoughts on the product.
