Sonic Forces Speed Battle - 9k trophies with Level 20 Modern Sonic [MAX]

Words cannot describe how much im FULFUILED to finally get this done, for years ive always to break the modern pb and be the holder of it, but i only ever peaked at 6.8, everytime i attempted a modern season after it would always be a fail with only peaking at 6.7, although the trophy system is not the same as it was years back, i still feel like and consider 9k with modern to be well above and harder than 6.9 way back then with him when achieved by bossy and maybe even harder due to all the new characters and bs in the game however this doesnt mean that the modern sonic i used today isnt significantly better than in 2020, the modern of day has 10 more extra starting rings, guaranteed 2x fireballs and a way faster power sneakers, but i would rather race in the conditions of 2020 with modern sonic than the conditions and the meta of today moving on from comparisons of today and 2026, i was not planning a modern season this month at all, in fact i was planning a solo sheriff season since i picked him up last season at the end of the month when everyone was saying hes "dead", i used him and found him to still be a solid character and of course it made a lot of people take back what they said and pretend that they still thought sheriff was good, when power sneakers got buffed the first time, it was way too overtuned since it has a longer duration with the new speed, i didnt want to use modern or shadow during that time becasue the boost was too overtuned and every match with a mirror and i hate mirror matches, that wasnt karate levels overbuff tho, i was still able to use super sonic and sheriff sonic and win consistently without much trouble due to how basic modern and shadow are however once the power sneakers duration buff got reverted, of course to no ones surprise everyone stopped using modern and shadow, but thats where my wait ended and i picked up modern sonic again, to my surprise he was actually working the first couple of races, and i was loving the new speed way too much, i was having way too much fun using him and when i saw that he was actually able to get some wins against majority of the S tiers, i decided to attempt a modern climb season with him of course, this induced a LOT of pain and suffering, but only for the last 2 pushes, i was playing the way i used to play by stalking the lb and only getting on when the lobbies benefit me the most, this is also why youll see a massive lack of idol shadow in this video, because 95% of the time, if i saw an idol shadow on, no matter how good the lobbies were for me, i stayed off this is becuase idol shadow is way too frustrating and hard to beat as modern sonic, you need an extremly good setup and luck for the idol shadow to end up in a position where you can ice mine him and boost past him without him catching up and ending your race the most used characters this season due to the recent nerfs were ninja rouge, lunar tangle, doom shadow, idol shadow and a little bit of extreme gear rouge, all of which are infuriating and frustrating to race as modern sonic, i am so sick and tired of lunar tangle, these characters are just so annoying and ragebait inducing to race, there was counterplay, but very very little and situational much like the 7k shadow climb, a few players got on the game just when i was almost done getting my goal just to hunt me and make sure i dont get it, but in the end, they lost and even dropped trophies in the process while i won this climb meant a lot for me, i now hold both the modern and super pb in their worst possible seasons ever with all odds against me, i hope youll enjoy this video as much as i enjoyed using modern sonic and editing it! special thanks to velocity ninja for making another sick thumbnail!
