FULL RAF Flypast for The King's Official Birthday 2026 | Trooping the Colour

Today, 13th June 2026, is the King's Official Birthday which is marked by the traditional Trooping The Colour parade followed by a flypast by the Royal Air Force. The 'official' birthday does not necessarily correspond with the real birthday of the sovereign. For example, King Charles III was born on 14th November 1948, Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21st April 1926. The reason for the 'official' birthday is to allow the monarch's birthday to be celebrated in [hopefully] better weather in the UK's summer which despite the strong winds was very pleasant today. The 31 aircraft involved in today's flypast ranged from the historic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's Douglas Dakota, ZA947, through to the modern day Eurofighter Typhoons and F-35B Lightning fighters. As well as helicopters in the shape of the Chinook, to the customary finale featuring the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, The Red Arrows.
