Iqbal Romzi, officially saw off 444 Hajj pilgrims from Group 5 of the Palembang Embarkation at the South Sumatra Hajj Dormitory on Tuesday (April 28, 2026). The pilgrims departing this time came from Musi Banyuasin Regency (Muba) and Palembang City. In his remarks, Iqbal Romzi provided motivation and a profound message for the pilgrims to perfectly carry out the fifth pillar of Islam. He emphasized that the Hajj is a unique spiritual journey, which he termed the "SMS" journey, which stands for "Holy, Noble, and Spiritual." Iqbal outlined three main values ​​that every pilgrim must carry with them: S (Holy): Hajj is a holy journey to purify oneself (tazkiyatun nufus) so that upon returning home, pilgrims possess nobler morals. M (Noble): Hajj is a noble calling from Allah SWT and Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him). This dignity must be maintained by being mindful of one's attitude and speech, and avoiding unwholesome behavior while in the Holy Land. S (Spiritual): This journey is a profound spiritual experience. Pilgrims are expected to maintain sincerity and integrity throughout every aspect of their worship.
