Nobody Tells You This! What It's Really Like to Own a Classic Motorcycle

Owning a classic motorcycle is very different from owning a modern bike. In this video I share what it's really like to live with a 1978 Laverda Alpino after restoring it from boxes into a roadworthy machine. From parts vibrating loose, disappearing silencers and side panels that have a habit of falling off, to the satisfaction of solving problems and keeping an old motorcycle on the road, classic bike ownership is as much about the journey in the garage as it is on the road. If you've ever dreamed of owning a classic motorcycle, or already have one in your garage, this video is for you. I'll explain why these bikes demand more of your time, your patience and sometimes your wallet – but why, despite all that, I wouldn't swap the experience for anything. Whether you ride a Laverda, Triumph, Norton, BSA, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Ducati or any other classic motorcycle, I'd love to hear your stories. What's the funniest, strangest or most frustrating thing that's ever happened while owning a classic motorcycle? Let me know in the comments!
