Tomar decisiones: también ante el final de la vida

Talking about the end of life isn't always easy, but being informed and reflecting in time allows us to make more conscious, free decisions that align with our values. This conference is an invitation to learn about, understand, and prepare for the end of life with serenity and autonomy. It will address key issues such as living wills, or advance directives, a tool that allows us to put in writing how we want to be cared for if we are unable to express our wishes, and will discuss the importance of appointing a representative, the person who will ensure that our advance directives are carried out. The conference will be led by Emilia Civeira, an intensive care physician and director of Seniors en Red (Seniors Network). She worked for over 40 years, until her retirement in 2016, at the University Clinical Hospital of Zaragoza. She shares her experiences from her understanding of a reality that is difficult to confront: death is not a topic we are accustomed to discussing; however, it is a part of life.
