Tioman has always been on my to-do-list as it is regarded as one of the most difficult airports in Malaysia due to it’s short runway and it’s location with hills on 3 sides. Similar to the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong with it's checkerboard approach, so does Tioman have a small checkerboard on the hill as you approach runway 20. SKS Airways is the only operator into Tioman with flights from Subang Kuala Lumpur. When it offered RM100 tickets during the 11.11. sale, I jumped on the opportunity to make this trip report.
