CRT Spotlight - The Sony KV-13FS100 vs The Toshiba 14AF44 - A comparison between two similar CRTS!

Welcome to the first video of 2025 folks! And it's an in-depth one too, for those of you who like it when I dive in deep into a particular topic. Ever since taking these two televisions into my collection, this video has always been swirling around in my head. The Sony KV-13FS100 and Toshiba 14AF44 were most certainly direct competitors of each other during their time on retail shelves in the mid-2000s. And since I own both of these specimens here, I thought it would be cool to really examine the two of them and try to see which one prevails as the better CRT. Everyone in this hobby knows the whole deal about Sony's hailed Trinitron line of picture tubes, but how does Toshiba's efforts stack up compared to the often-called king of the CRTs? Along with my own thoughts, I've got some direct video comparisons for you to check out as well! Oh and in case some of my regular viewers notice some of my much smoother video work in this one here, I bought myself a camera slider! This thing is insanely fancy; shots that make use of it definitely seem far more professional than my usual handheld stuff. Next up I gotta upgrade my main filming camera and rig up some better lighting in this room.
