Lúcia Helena Galvão recounts her 30-year journey as a volunteer teaching philosophy. Beyond volunteering and social assistance, the philosophy Lúcia practices is a true formation in values. Lúcia Helena Galvão Maya is a philosophy professor at the New Acropolis organization in Brazil. Having been with the institution for 30 years, she is one of its longest-serving and most active speakers. Born in Rio de Janeiro, she now resides in Brasília, where she teaches on a wide variety of topics: ethics, sociopolitics, symbology, history of philosophy, among others. A poet, she has published four books, in addition to frequently producing articles and chronicles published in newspapers throughout the country. She also regularly gives lectures and conferences to large audiences in Brazil and other countries. Online, she is a phenomenon on social media and YouTube, where she has thousands of followers and has accumulated over 16 million views on her talks.
