More precisely, it's about the h-pawn and why it's so dangerous. For a long time, I completely relied on this approach, even playing specific openings, just to be able to effectively attack my opponent's king. The beauty of attacking is that in chess, it's much easier to attack than to defend. Roughly speaking, when attacking, you just need to move all your pieces towards the opponent's king and then look for tactics that practically present themselves. The reward for a successful kingside attack is significant; it usually results in checkmate or a substantial material gain. It's also best to be careful not to weaken your own position when attacking the king. This series on chess strategy covers advanced topics, some of which are quite challenging, but I'm sure every chess player can learn something from the video. What is chess strategy? Unlike tactics (short-term combinations), chess strategy refers to the long-term plans you have during a game. General topics covered include: 1. King safety 2. Piece activity 3. Pawn structure 4. Space 5. Piece exchanges Only with the right strategy can you even reach positions against strong opponents where you can play winning tactics. A solid strategic understanding forms the foundation of every professional chess player. Welcome! 🙌🏽 How do you learn chess? How can you become a professional chess player? How do I play chess openings? What chess strategies and tactics are there? How do I play chess endgames? If you're looking for high-quality chess training and a professional, serious chess education, you've come to the right place. Unlike many other channels on YouTube, I focus on actual training and try to give you some key takeaways in every video. I currently have about ten students and several years of training experience.
