The game was developed by Unknown Worlds studio, and I'm playing it on a PC (Personal Computer). The game was developed by Unknown Worlds, known for the successful online shooter Natural Selection 2. The action is set in a fictional world inspired by old adventure novels like Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. As a result, the salty waters are inhabited by numerous monsters, and the remains of futuristic structures and ships can be found at the bottom. Players take on the role of the captain of a modern submarine, tasked with exploring uncharted depths. In terms of gameplay mechanics, Subnautica is a true cocktail, combining elements of many different genres, including RPGs, sandbox games, and action-packed action games. Our task is to construct submarines and then use them to explore the marine world. Every decision made in the shipyard affects the performance of the submarines – we independently choose the interior layout, the materials used for construction, and the types of onboard equipment. We begin the game by building primitive submarines – with short range and even lower durability. Over time, however, we'll build increasingly advanced vessels, allowing us to explore new, previously inaccessible regions of the ocean. During gameplay, we can freely wander the deck and chat with crew members, but there are also plenty of opportunities to leave the ship and explore the underwater world on our own.
