Hasil Dialog Mahasiswa dengan Pimpinan DPR Bahas BBM dan Program MBG

KOMPAS TV: Several student representatives from various campuses who held a demonstration in front of the House of Representatives (DPR/MPR) building in Jakarta were welcomed for a direct dialogue with the DPR leadership on Friday evening. The closed-door meeting was led by Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, along with several commission leaders. The dialogue was held to directly hear the students' aspirations and demands regarding various economic issues deemed to be impacting the community. During the meeting, the students conveyed a number of demands, including an evaluation of government performance, handling fuel shortages and price increases, economic stability, and an evaluation of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) and the Red and White Village Cooperative. Student representatives stated that some of their demands had received a direct response from the DPR. However, they are still awaiting the government's commitment to several issues, particularly the fuel shortage, which they believe has had a wide-ranging impact on the community's economic condition. Meanwhile, DPR representatives stated that they have communicated with relevant parties, including the National Nutrition Agency and relevant ministries. The DPR claimed that the government is committed to improving programs deemed ineffective and ensuring the availability of subsidized fuel, a problem that has been a public complaint. Although the dialogue took place inside the parliament building, hundreds of students from various campuses remained in front of the DPR/MPR RI complex to await the outcome of the meeting.
