Slavin means glory, and Slavin, the war memorial is on Slavin Hill. This is where you find it in Bratislava, Slovakia. The park and memorial are surrounded by residences of various ambassadors, including the American Ambassador residence right outside the park. It is a solemn and beautiful site, and it is maintained meticulously to honor those Soviet soldiers who helped liberate Bratislava from the Nazis in 1945.
