DJ Gig Log 61: The Generator Almost Ruined This Wedding #dj #djlife #djgiglog

Tonight’s wedding was completely powered by a generator… and things went bad FAST. Going into this event, I thought the biggest challenge would be making sure the generator could handle enough power for my full DJ setup. Between the speakers, lighting, DJ booth, and everything else, we were pulling over 2,200 watts with possible spikes near 3,000 watts. But what I didn’t realize… …was that you can actually have TOO much power. What started as a normal wedding setup quickly turned into random shutdowns, flashing power conditioners, voltage readings hitting 160 volts, and one very stressed DJ 😅 Thankfully, my backup power solution ended up saving the night. In this video I break down: My full wedding DJ setup power consumption Why the generator became a problem How my power conditioners protected my gear Why backup power is ESSENTIAL for DJs And how the Jackery Explorer 1000 helped save the event Hopefully this video helps another DJ avoid the same mistake in the future. 🎧 Gear Used: Pioneer DDJ-1000SRT 2x 15” RCF Tops 2x 15” Alto Subs 2x Betopper LM19X15 Moving Heads Furman Power Conditioners https://amzn.to/4373LcM Jackery 1000 Backup Power Station https://amzn.to/4f0dQjh If you enjoyed the video or learned something new, make sure to like, comment, and subscribe for more real wedding gig logs and behind-the-scenes DJ content.
