333 Peterson - Royal Yacht - To Smoke Every Blend - Pipe Tobacco Review 2026 07 10
Peterson’s Royal Yacht made a strong first impression from the moment I opened the tin. The tin note was bursting with a rich, fruity aroma, with plum standing out as the dominant scent. The first part of the smoke was very pleasant, smooth, and gentle on the tongue, making for an enjoyable beginning. As the bowl progressed, however, the flavor changed a bit, and toward the end it developed a slightly chalky feel along with a tarry taste that took away from the finish. The room note was low to medium, but not something I would want lingering in a room the next day. Overall, I found Royal Yacht to be an enjoyable smoke, but one I would probably reserve for outdoors unless you are already accustomed to smoking indoors. I also would not choose it as a car smoke, simply because I would not want that particular scent hanging around afterward.
