【4K】Kamo Castle (Niigata) / 加茂城 (新潟)

Walk-through movie of Kamo castle (加茂城) that is a Japanese castle in Niigata pref. Located at southeast of Kamo city central, it stands over at narrow hill named Yougai-yama between Kamo-gawa river and Shimojo-gawa river. Detailed history of castle is not clear but it might be built by Uesugi clan to protect the narrow corridor between middle part and lower part of Echigo province. It consists of three large terraces separated by dry moats, surrounded by small terraces built at edge of hill.
