National Trust - Killerton

Nestled right in the heart of the Devon countryside, Killerton is one of the National Trust’s grandest estates, spanning a massive 6,400 acres of working farmland, ancient woodlands, and rolling parkland. But Killerton isn’t your typical stuffy stately home. Gifted to the public in 1944 by Sir Richard Acland because of his fierce political beliefs, this friendly, relaxed Georgian house feels uniquely lived-in. Today, it’s famous for holding the National Trust's largest historic fashion collection (with over 20,000 incredible pieces!) alongside glorious hillside gardens packed with rhododendrons, a hidden "Bear’s Hut," and even an extinct volcano to explore. On this channel, we’re bringing you along to discover... The House & History: Exploring the 1920s period rooms and stunning fashion exhibitions. The Great Outdoors: Walking the trails through Ashclyst Forest, the historic orchards, and taking in views across to Dartmoor. Hidden Gems: Spotting local wildlife, exploring the Grade I listed chapel, and visiting Clyston Mill, a working watermill on the estate. The staff and volunteers here were amazing, a lady gave us 10-15 mins of her time to introduce and inform us about the place - you can tell she really loved what she did. Same as last time, this is not a professional piece, I'm not getting paid, they don't know I exist, this channel isn't even monetised (at the time of writing this). Thanks for watching!
