Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma criticised regional political parties, including the PDP, People's Conference (PC) and Apni Party, for not participating in the National Conference-sponsored protest at Jantar Mantar on July 20 demanding the restoration of statehood. Sharma alleged that these parties are acting under the influence of the BJP and also questioned the BJP's decision to hold a separate protest in Srinagar on the same day.
