Criado por su abuela y tía, a los 9 años vio su primera lucha y se enamoró del deporte. Entrenó en pentatlón y con maestros como El Noruego Soto, Velasco y Rey Mendoza. Debutó a los 16 años (1987) como Pequeño Samurái, luego Furor en CMLL (donde ganó la cabellera de su mentor), y en 1992 llegó a AAA con Antonio Peña.Allí creó a Winners, rudo rapero junto a Super Caló que conquistó al público —sobre todo femenino—. En Triplemanía III (1995) venció a Marabunta, pero perdió su máscara ante Super Caló, revelando su rostro. Su popularidad no decayó; al contrario, creció.En 1997 Antonio Peña le dio el personaje definitivo: Abismo Negro. Rudo icónico con máscara única, entradas explosivas y el martinete (piledriver) como sello mortal. Lideró a Los Vipers con Cibernético, Electroshock y Psicosis; vivió traiciones, cambios de bando y rivalidades legendarias contra Mister Niebla y Black Abyss (su némesis clon).Brilló en AAA, WCW y TNA, y cruzó a la TV en Vida TV se vale, La Familia P. Luche y Un Gancho al Corazón.Trágicamente, el 21 de marzo de 2009, a los 37 años, sufrió un ataque de pánico en un autobús de Mazatlán y desapareció en la madrugada. Su cuerpo fue hallado al día siguiente en un río en El Rosario, Sinaloa.
