This is one of the best ways to counter monsters that have seemingly unfair protection. You can't stop it and it removes the monster, then provides you with a convenient gy effect negation to really close out the exchange. My favorite part is you still have to get your field set up to do this, unlike with Kaijus, Sphere Mode, Lava Golem, Super Poly, and other things that just sorta happen and leave you with a difficult recovery.
