It Looked Like Nothing... Now This! At first glance, this cocobolo blank didn't look like anything special. The outside gave very little indication of what was hiding beneath the surface. Once the lathe started turning, though, the wood revealed incredible color, dramatic black striping, and the rich character that makes cocobolo one of the most sought-after exotic hardwoods in the world. In this video, I take an ordinary-looking blank and transform it into a beautifully finished vessel, letting the wood tell the story one shaving at a time.
