DragonFable: Theater of Frost - Pyromancer (foodless/no extra potions)
What is it with December Inn fights and RNG? We had Test of Meanwhile last year, and now we have this fight. The RNG in this fight is pretty nasty - the way Blade of Frostvale works is that at the start of his rotation, he obtains three presents. Immediately after, he prepares the first present (which will inflict a status effect), which he will open after a certain number of turns. When opening a present, Blade of Frostvale gets an additional attack, and if it connects when you have the respective status condition of the present, it will inflict another status. The effects of the presents are the following: Twig: Void nuke, gives Blade 20 Boost and 60 mainstat if it connects with the respective present status active. Lightning: Heals a massive amount of HP with hitcheck with gingerbread, inflicts -100 Immobility res if it connects with the respective present status active. Alchemical: Inflicts a DoT, also inflicts -30 Boost if it connects with the respective present status active. Unfortunately, the order of the presents is RNG. We need to win two coinflips to be able to win: Blade cannot use the Lightning present second on his first rotation (lightning third is ideal as we can use Triflame before it, but lightning first is doable). Blade must use the Twig present first on his second rotation. All in all, our odds of success are two in nine. Magma Bubble is used on turn 2 and 9. This is so that we can dodge the gingerbread attack on turn 4 or turn 10 if Blade uses the lightning present first or third. Then, we use Scales on turn 15 - even though our MPM is debuffed from the attack on turn 13, the debuff is weak enough so that we can reliably dodge the Boost debuff with Scales on turn 16. This gives us just enough damage so that we can defeat Blade on turn 18 with one use of Conflagration. You probably don't need Ice res gear against Harvester, as he's fairly trivial, but I did it to be safe. He functions similarly to the EPL rework - he gets Candy every hit and once he has 5 Candy, he empowers his next attack. The only particularly dangerous empowerment is Endless Night, though, which permanently gives him 20 Boost and 30 mainstat. Every now and then, Harvester will use Verdant or Thorny Barrier. Verdant Barrier gives Harvester 1 Candy every time he is hit, Thorny Barrier retaliates once. The rotation for Shining Blade of Frostvale (the hard part of the fight) can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/... This video is sped up slightly - the original recording took nearly 20 minutes.
