Wild Camping in the MSR Tindheim 2 and Emilie's FIRST WILD CAMP - the weather closes in! In this video, I take my ten year old daughter on her first ever wild camp - she did great! Emilie climbed to the summit of our location wearing an adult sized 38 litre pack, full of her gear and the food for the camp - not a grumble or complaint in sight. Emilie stayed warm and cosy in her MSR 'Honcho Poncho' which is a great bit of kit for the younger generation. I pitched the tent and we enjoyed some fantastic views across the north west and out to the Irish Sea. Our evening meal consisted of some lovely Aberdeen Angus burgers cooked on the Fire Maple Blade stove which is made from titanium. A late evening walk to the trig point and some summit exploration. As night drew in, the conditions began to deteriorate, with strong winds picking up and heavy, driving rain battering the tent. The next morning, we awoke to a very different scene - full of clag and mist. A fantastic experience for Emilie and one which she very much enjoyed. For me, priceless memories which I will treasure.
