This makes it more important than ever to ensure your application is strong before you file. ✅ The 90-Day Rule: If you entered on a non-immigrant visa (such as a visitor visa or student visa), and you take steps that suggest immigrant intent — like getting married or filing for adjustment of status — within the first 90 days of your entry, it can create serious problems for your case.
