We also draw parallels to the far right in Europe. Annika Brockschmidt studied history, German studies, and war and conflict studies in Heidelberg, Durham, and Potsdam. She is a freelance journalist, one of the hosts of the podcast Feminist Shelf Control, and an author. Her book "America's Holy Warriors," about the power of the religious right in the US, was a bestseller in 2021. This was followed in 2024 by "The Arsonists: How Extremists Took Over the Republican Party." In conversation with Katharina Nocun, author (including "Fake Facts" and "Dangerous Faith") and host of the Denkangebot podcast, she discusses her years of research on the far right and its connection to Christian nationalists in the USA at re:publica.
