Bigger baits come into play, including live yakkas rigged using a slide baiting technique, along with fresh squid and butterflied fish baits. Conditions aren’t quite as favourable, and the bycatch keeps things interesting, but the focus remains on fishing the new tide and staying patient when the bite slows.
