Here is a brief story behind the fastest growing civic communication group in the country and abroad. The Humble Beginning of Kaakibat Civicom International, Inc. (Brief history of KAAKIBAT CIVICOM) It was on the month June when nine (9) concerned and gifted individuals from different locations were communicating with each other using the social media have had decided to create an organization for a service-oriented, civic non-profit organization. The following concerned persons were Thomas A. Orlanda of Tarlac, Nicasio Galano, M.D. of Cagayan Valley, Joselito Santos of Nueva Ecija, Ransume Atun (aka Sam Castillo) of Albay, Cristina Dizon of Tarlac, Jennifer Perez (Jujel) of Singapore, Siegfred Infante of Basilan, Allan Castano of Zamboanga Peninsula and Maryann Ramos of Japan. These mentioned individuals were the original incorporators and founders of KCI as known as the “MAGIC 9.” At first Sir Thomas Orlanda is hesitant on creating the group since it's not easy to organize because of the hazard of the current pandemic. On the other hand, Sir Joselito Santos and Sir Sam Castillo were keep on insisting and pushing Sir Thom Orlanda and Doc Galano to arise and organize a new organization. However, in return, Sir Thom refused to proceed since he doesn't want to make any chaos in a former organization where he was one of the greatest leaders before. On the long run, there were miracles and abrupt developments with virtual conferences and meetings through google zoom, when the group agreed to create, establish, and organize this radio civic- communication association. The Constitution and By-Laws and were drafted and finalized. On September 6, 2021, the KAAKIBAT CIVIC COMMUNICATORS INTERNATIONAL, INCORPORATED applied for a Security and Exchange Commission registration and was duly approved on September 21, 2021, whereby a Certificate of Registration was issued too by said office. (Sam Castillo, National PIO) How did we derive with the group name KAAKIBAT ? It was one zoom meeting sometime in the end week of August 2021 when the group proposed the names for the organization. During the zoom meeting Doc Jay advised the group that he will change his location outside the hospital due to interfering internet signal. In the middle of discussion, suddenly an ambulance arrived wherein he focused the camera in the emergency admitting section. As the discussion continued we saw a nurse assisting a Covid case patient. We came out with the idea of the word “KAAKIBAT” in relation with the nurse assisting the patient.
