38-Year-Old Woman Uses Siri to Call 911 After Suffering Stroke
A school teacher suddenly lost her balance and toppled over, falling into a dresser. Krista Figari, 38, rolled around and was unable to get up. Her whole left side was paralyzed. Figari used Siri to call 911. At the hospital in Manhattan, Figari was told she'd had a stroke. A similar medical crisis happened to financial advisor Derick Gant, 57, in his driveway in Toledo, Ohio. His Apple Watch detected something was wrong and asked if he needed help. He tapped "yes" and 911 was notified.
