MGA/MGB rear lever arm shock absorber service
This is just a quick video which shows the basic process for opening, cleaning, filling and getting air out of a rear lever arm shock. It is not a rebuild but a service, If there is excessive play in the pivot assembly it will require a rebuild. The same process can also be used for the front shocks. Tipping the shock on its side or upside down is necessary after filling the valve assembly with oil to help get rid of the air while moving the lever arm. In order to check if its working correctly, when installed press down on the vehicle guards, if the vehicle bounces the shock isn't working correctly, if it gets harder and stops then it is working correctly.
