Artist Kevork Mourad demonstrates his monotype printing technique
Known for his signature style of spontaneous drawing and printmaking techniques, Syrian artist Kevork Mourad was invited by Arts Transcending Borders and the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Art Gallery at the College of the Holy Cross to create the site-specific installation "Memory Gates" during a ten-day residency in Spring 2021. The work, imagined as a series of doors and passageways that visitors can pass through, explores themes of cultural plurality and collective memory.
