Síndrome de Ehlers‑Danlos: la verdad detrás de 36 años de sufrimiento invisible - DIDI

New stop for the VISIBILITY motorhome in Enix (Almería) 🚐❤️‍🩹 In this video, we meet Didi, whose life was brought to a standstill after years without a diagnosis, facing rare diseases and a body that fights tirelessly. Didi lives with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, tethered spinal cord, craniocervical instability, atlantoaxial and subaxial instability, vascular compression syndromes, and multiple rare diseases. These conditions force her to use a wheelchair, to eat only smoothies due to severe gastroparesis, and to endure intractable chronic pain. Her story reflects the silence surrounding invisible illnesses, the immense physical toll, and the despair of facing a system that turns its back on you. Today, facing progressive spinal cord damage, she needs access to very expensive and complex surgeries to halt the damage. Behind every diagnosis is a person trying to survive in a system that often arrives too late, while battling misunderstanding, institutional neglect, and the exhaustion of constantly having to justify suffering that isn't always visible. Because living with a multisystemic illness isn't just about feeling pain. It's about managing every last drop of energy. It's about persevering when everything gets tough.
