BOOK LAUNCH: Footprints on the Moon by George Harding
http://www.limerickwriterscentre.com (Video: Patrick Thomas Howard On a warm summer evening in Cork City Library, we launched George Harding’s new poetry collection, Footprints on the Moon, to a full room. Alan Titley introduced the book and spoke about the range in Harding’s work — from sonnets to villanelles, along with his own unmistakable voice. He noted that Harding’s close attention to the world around him — nature, politics, and the rise of technology — gives the poems their edge. Revival Press, the poetry imprint of the Limerick Writers’ Centre, is glad to publish writers like Harding who approach their work with honesty and skill. Dominic Taylor, managing editor of the LWC, also remarked that this marks the 218th book published through their Community Publishing Programme since 2008 — roughly one new title every month for eighteen years. Revival Press is grateful to librarian Angela Hannon and Cork City Library for hosting this event. Footprints on the Moon is available from the author, in Cork bookshops, and online at www.limerickwriterscentre.com
