White Pine - Identification and Uses
In this video I go over the White Pine and it's identification features as well as it's uses. The White Pine is one of the supermarkets of the forest. Providing everything from food, tea, medicine, glue, wood, and more this tree is certainly a one stop shop if you are stuck out there with nothing. The needles of White Pine can be used to make tea that is up to 6 times higher in vitamin C than orange juice. The inner white bark of the tree can be eaten as is or dried and ground to a flour extender. The young male cones are useful when boiled as a vegetable and when the cones mature they often bring Pine nuts with them. In a pinch for some glue? The Pine tree has you covered with it's sticky sap. Combine this sap with charcoal and dried grass to make pitch glue, or use it off the tree as an anti septic for cuts and scrapes. The uses of this tree are many and this video does not cover them all, however I have focused on the most pertinent ones. I thank you guys for watching this video and I hope you learned something!
