Turning the World's most EXPENSIVE WOOD!

This week I’m turning something truly extraordinary — African Blackwood, widely regarded as the most expensive wood in the world. I recently bought 28kg of it, all in small dense blocks, and in this video I put it to the test on the lathe to see what it’s really like to work with. You’ll see me turn a mixture of Christmas ornaments and small gift pieces, each one revealing the deep, rich colour and fine grain this wood is famous for. It’s an incredibly hard, heavy timber that challenges your tools, your patience, and your skill — but the results are worth every moment.
