As a heatwave grips much of France, including the Centre-Val de Loire region, Health Minister Stéphanie Rist is the guest on "Dimanche en politique" (Sunday in Politics) on Ici Centre-Val de Loire this Sunday, June 21, 2026. The former MP (Renaissance) for Loiret is interviewed by Rebecca Benbourek. She reviews the major health issues currently in the news, foremost among them the heatwave at the end of June 2026. Indeed, France has never experienced such a situation since the creation of the heatwave alert system in 2004. The heat will be so intense—it will reach almost 40 degrees Celsius on Sunday afternoon, and more than 40 degrees in some areas at least until Wednesday—that "everyone is at risk, even healthy individuals," notes Météo-France.
