Courtney Love - Use Once & Destroy - Petaluma, Live, 8-24-13, 1st row, Phoenix Theater. Courtney: "No, I do kisses and I do handshakes, I don't do hugs. You good? Small little weird show..." :P Other Tidbits: Courtney's not joking about the kisses... For the show in San Francisco the guy to my right got kissed on the lips! On the lips!! Someone even got a picture of it too. After the concert, we talked to Scott Lipps, the drummer, who said that this 'small little weird show' was a last minute addition to the tour as they had an extra day in between the Reno and San Diego shows. The Phoenix Theater is a small historical venue in downtown Petaluma, which the band thought was nice place to play. Later on in the conversation, we asked Scott if he could take a few things to Courtney to autograph, which he did, and he also got the rest of the band members to sign them as well, which was very nice of him. Once again, Courtney strayed from the printed setlist to play some songs she felt like singing at the time. For example, 'Pretty on the Inside' and 'Northern Star' were added in, 'Use Once and Destroy' and 'My Beautiful Son' were taken out, and 'Plump' was moved from the penultimate song to the opener. 'Nobody's Daughter' was also taken out, which was surprising because we could hear her practicing it in the soundcheck several times. Many fans in the crowd were calling out for 'Teenage Whore' throughout the show, to the point where Courtney answered the crowd to say: "No Teenage Whore. I don't know... No, I'm just not, I don't know..." You can hear the funny exchange right before 'Celebrity Skin'. The crowd also brought several bouquets of roses to throw up on stage, to which Courtney then used to tear the petals off and throw them into the crowd.
