Flåm Zipline — riding Scandinavia's longest zipline, 1,381 metres down the Flåm Valley in Norway. 🇳🇴 This is what the Flåm Zipline is actually like — from Vatnahalsen station and the viewpoint over the valley, to the launch and the full ride down to Kårdal. The Flåm Zipline is the longest zipline in Scandinavia and Northern Europe at 1,381 metres, with a 305-metre height difference and speeds of up to 100 km/h. It starts high above the Flåm Valley at Vatnahalsen — a stop on the Flåm Railway with no road access — and ends at the Kårdal mountain farm below. The ride takes about a minute and a half of flying through the air, high over waterfalls, the winding Rallarvegen road, and the river far below. From Vatnahalsen, it's a short walk to the launch platform, where the terrace opens up over the whole valley — the old construction road zigzagging down the mountainside, the peaks, and the river. Then you're clipped in and sent off down the steel wire toward Kårdal. At the bottom you can rent a bike and cycle the 18 kilometres back down to Flåm, or walk to Blomheller station for the train. The zipline opened in 2018 and runs from spring to autumn. Filmed in 4K.
