R-Ladies Tunis (English) - Introduction to RNA-seq workshop animated by Dr. Michael Love
This is the first workshop of our #RBioinfo series that we've decided to launch in September 2020. We have been hosting Dr. Michael Love https://mikelove.github.io/ who animated a workshop about RNA-seq. He covered Salmon ➡️ tximeta ➡️ DESeq2 for DGE or ➡️ Swish for DTE. Slides link : https://bit.ly/rnaseqPipe We have also recorded the chat messages as Dr. Mike clarified some insightful points on chat https://tinyurl.com/yxkexy5w Invited speaker : ▶️ Dr. Michael I. Love: Assistant Professor of Biostatistics & Genetics at UNC-Chapel Hill. Maintains Bioconductor packages : DESeq2, tximport, tximeta, fishpond, alpine. About Dr. Michael I. Love : Dr. Love received his bachelor’s in mathematics in 2005 from Stanford University, his master’s in statistics in 2010 from Stanford University, and his Ph.D. in Computational Biology in 2013 from the Freie Universität Berlin. Dr. Love uses statistical models to infer biologically meaningful patterns from high-throughput sequencing data, and develops open-source statistical software for the Bioconductor Project. Moderator : ▶️ Dr. Hédia Tnani : PhD on Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Co-founder at R-Ladies Tunis https://github.com/HediaTnani Prerequisites : ◾️ Basic knowledge of Bioconductor https://bioconductor.org/ Therefore, we've prepared these slides https://rladiestunis-introduction2bio... that introduce to the attendees Bioconductor and the steps that they needeed to follow up. We have also organized an online pre-workshop. You may review the recording video about the installation process by following this link 👉 https://tinyurl.com/y3en5mv6 and through this PDF document 👉 https://tinyurl.com/y3hktzgy This is also a dashboard that we have created using R about the first 171 registrations for the workshop 👉 https://rladiestunis.github.io/R4Bioi...
