Laura Benanti Auditions for NBC's Peter Pan Live!

The Sound of Music Live!'s Baroness Schraeder takes on Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, and a rap-tastic Mr. Smee. Tony winner and Drama Desk Awards host extraordinaire Laura Benanti was great as the Baroness Schraeder in NBC's The Sound of Music Live!, but the role didn't come close to showcasing her diverse talents. Taking matters into her own hands, the actress decided to audition for the upcoming Peter Pan Live! to show the network her vast performance range. Since every role in the upcoming NBC presentation is still to be cast (and this is totally fake anyway, so what the heck), Benanti has allowed TheaterMania to post footage from her audition for each and every character: from Peter himself to the foulmouthed Crocodile.
