Once the torches return to Yasaka Shrine, the central portable shrine—one of three, and the one enshrining the deity Susanoo-no-Mikoto—is carried across Shijo Ohashi Bridge. Foreign tourists were thoroughly enjoying the Gion Festival atmosphere along the route.
