Guanyinshan, 616 meters above sea level, sits on the left bank of the Tamsui River estuary and is one of Taiwan's 100 most representative suburban mountains. The Hard Man Ridge Trail is the most popular hike up Guanyinshan. It was once used by military police for physical training, earning it the nickname "Hard Man Ridge."
