70歳 43日間ワンワールド世界一周完走

We are an ordinary couple in our 70s. We traveled for 43 days using a Oneworld Round-the-World ticket. We were worried about our health, and we encountered one trouble after another, but we were blessed with wonderful weather, experienced a series of amazing moments, and our health remained strong, allowing us to complete the trip safely. This is the first installment, and I will introduce the circumstances that led us to take a world trip using a Oneworld Round-the-World ticket, and the three-year process that went into creating a concrete travel plan. In the second installment, I will describe how we proceeded with booking popular flights that were in high demand, as well as the complex booking of trains and facilities, and the numerous accommodations after the plan was finalized. In the third installment and beyond, I would like to share the amazing experiences and incidents we encountered in the places we visited. The incidents and troubles we encountered included injuries, fever, being unable to land due to a thunderstorm and having to detour to another airport, sudden cancellations for unknown reasons, last-minute cancellations of booked tours, unilateral cancellations, demonstrations, strikes, bus and subway service suspensions, lost credit card, losing my wife in a crowd and being unable to use my smartphone, and fare increases, among others. The places I visited were Helsinki, Tallinn, London, Cherbourg, Paris, Mont Saint-Michel, Bern, the Swiss Alps (Grindelwald, Zermatt), Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome, Seattle, the Northern Lights (Fairbunks, Alaska), and New York.
