Numerous sand and gravel pits can be found throughout the Low Countries. These often deep and clear waters are incredibly challenging for carp fishing. And sometimes you'll find some truly large carp! Kevin Diederen has been a keen angler on this type of water for the past few years. His fishing largely consists of observing and actively seeking out the fish. In this video, he uses this method, without baiting. During a night session, he fishes instantly with pop-ups, chod rigs, attractive bait, and more. As the video shows, there's also a fair amount of luck involved. After more than six months away from the water, Kevin comes face to face with two of the absolute top fish on the water!
