NEW 2026 Hyundai STARIA Electric - Spacious & Luxurious Family MPV!

Hyundai is preparing to bring its futuristic MPV into the electric age with the upcoming Staria Electric, a fully electric version of the popular Staria. Designed to combine practicality, comfort, and zero-emission driving, the Staria Electric is aimed at families, businesses, and anyone who needs space without sacrificing modern technology. At the heart of the Staria Electric is an 84 kWh battery pack, which delivers an estimated driving range of up to around 400 kilometers (WLTP). Power comes from a single electric motor producing 160 kW (218 PS) and 350 Nm of torque, offering smooth acceleration and confident performance for daily driving as well as long-distance trips. While it may not be a sports vehicle, the Staria Electric is clearly tuned for comfort, efficiency, and effortless cruising. Like other electric vehicles in Hyundai’s lineup, the Staria Electric is equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology. This feature allows the vehicle to supply electricity to external devices, making it possible to power laptops, camping equipment, tools, or other electronic devices directly from the car. This adds a new level of practicality, especially for outdoor activities, work use, or emergency situations. In terms of design, Hyundai keeps things familiar. Both the exterior and interior closely resemble the standard Staria, maintaining its futuristic, clean, and spacious look. The most noticeable differences can be found in the wheel design and the charging port located at the front of the vehicle, subtly indicating that this is the electric version. Inside, the cabin continues to focus on comfort, visibility, and space, making it ideal for families and professional transport. Hyundai plans to offer the Staria Electric in two main variants. The Luxury version will feature a 7-seat configuration, prioritizing passenger comfort and premium features. Meanwhile, the Wagon variant will provide increased seating capacity of up to 9 passengers, making it more suitable for larger families or commercial use. This flexible lineup ensures that the Staria Electric can meet a wide range of needs. Sales of the Hyundai Staria Electric are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026, with initial availability in Europe and South Korea. With its combination of long range, practical features like V2L, and spacious interior options, the Staria Electric positions itself as a strong contender in the growing electric MPV segment.
