We've been living in Tulear, in southern Madagascar, since 2016. We fell in love with this city, which, without being too touristy, allows us to discover the daily lives of these incredible people. Personally, when it comes to eating out, we love the small Malagasy eateries (although you have to choose them carefully to avoid getting sick). We eat on wooden boards, in the street, with the locals. But this restaurant, "Le Jardin," had been recommended to us several times. So we gave it a try… and we absolutely don't regret it! A must-see in Tulear! The manager of this restaurant is warm and friendly. He immediately puts you at ease with his good humor and big smile. The dishes are very varied and offer a very wide selection (almost a little too much, even; it's difficult to decide). Furthermore, the price is undeniable and really very affordable for the quality offered... In short, in Madagascar, you can eat very well in restaurants for very little money.
