PIUSANA ANTIBIOTIC Formula: Each 100 mL contains: Enroflaxin (hydrochloride) ............................. 600 mg Vehicle q.s. ...............................................100 mL Indications: PiuSana Antibiotic is indicated for ornamental birds, treating infections caused by Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, spirochetes, and mycoplasmas sensitive to enroflaxin: Respiratory infections (pneumonia) caused by Pasteurella spp., Escherichia coli, Streptococcus ssp., Klebsiella ssp., Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas ssp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, and Mycoplasma ssp. Enteric infections (diarrhea) caused by Salmonella ssp., Escherichia ssp., Pasteurella multiocida, and Clostridium ssp. Dosage and Directions: Oral use. The recommended dose is one drop of PiuSana Antibiotic for every 20 g of body weight (15 mg of active ingredient per kilogram of body weight), every 24 hours, for 3 to 4 consecutive days, or as directed by your veterinarian. The drops can be administered directly into the bird's beak or added to drinking water at a rate of seven drops for every 30 mL of water. Refresh the medicated water daily. In cases of salmonellosis, extend the treatment for another 2 to 3 days. It is recommended that treatment be continued for 48 hours after symptoms disappear. Contraindications and limitations of use: Do not use on birds under 21 days of age. Precautions: The product is indicated only for ornamental birds. Follow the recommended dosage. Keep the product out of reach of children and pets. Drug Interactions: Do not use in conjunction with rifampin, due to the antagonism between these drugs. Escherichia coli - Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and intestinal colibacillosis. Mycoplasma synoviae - Infectious synovitis. Salmonella pullorum - Pullorum. Salmonella gallinarum - Avian typhus. Staphylococcus aureus - Staphylococcosis. Pasteurella multocida - Fowl cholera. Formula: Each ml contains: Enrofloxacin Base......................100 mg Vehicle q.s....................................1 mL Dosage: Directions of use and dosage: Treatment and Control: In the event of disease outbreaks, administer ENRO FLEC LIQUID 10 for three consecutive days. In the specific case of Salmonellosis, a period of five consecutive days is recommended. Medicate the water daily, discarding the solution prepared the previous day. Treatment should be continued for at least 48 hours after the symptoms disappear. Dosage: One ml of ENROFLEC for one liter of water or 30 drops for one liter of water. When medicating solid food (flour), use two ml of ENROFLEC for one kilogram of food, mixed with water to moisten the food. This dosage level provides 10 mg of the active ingredient per kilogram of body weight.
