Why do we Worship?

To worship is to be human; it is what we were created to do. As one atheist famously (and curiously) observed, “There is no such thing as not worshipping. Everybody worships. The only choice we get is what to worship.” He went on to say that if you worship anything in this world, it will “eat you alive”…Yikes! However, worshiping God leads to life, fruit, and joy. But what exactly is worship? How can we worship God in all areas of our lives—not only singing? What does God intend to accomplish in us through worship? And how does worship of our triune God lead to life? One of our worship leaders from our Mill Creek campus, Eric Elftmann, responds to these questions.
