She now not only takes over most of his responsibilities, but also takes care of the island's melody, flag, image, and interpersonal issues. The new Service Center brings with it many more updates! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✒ GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE GAME: When life simulators like Sims gained popularity at the beginning of the millennium, Nintendo wanted to enter the market with its own game series, but due to its hardware limitations, it faced the difficult task of implementing time-based events. The planned Nintendo 64DD, with its real-time clock and 64MB writable floppy disk, offered a perfect opportunity to develop a contemporary life simulator. However, when it became clear that the Nintendo 64DD would be discontinued, the development team had to rethink its plans and switch to Nintendo 64 Game Paks with an additional Controller Pak that served as a memory card for the Nintendo 64. The title was finally released on April 14, 2001, initially exclusively in Japan under the name Dōbutsu no Mori (Animal Forest), and then on December 14 of the same year as a GameCube port, which was finally localized in Europe three years later, on September 24, 2004. The game system was simple: the player takes on the role of a new villager who must find his way around his new home. While there are smaller tasks and goals – such as expanding and decorating your home – the gameplay gives you a relatively large amount of freedom: you can talk to villagers, organize events, celebrate holidays, participate in fishing tournaments, or go about your daily life together. All of the game's activities are based on the real-time clock and the real-time calendar. The gameplay was so well received that it evolved into its own series and was released as a standalone game on subsequent consoles: Wild World was released for the Nintendo DS in 2005, Let's Go to the City in 2008 for the Nintendo Wii, New Leaf in 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS, and Pocket Camp in 2017 for Android and iOS. The series only took a hiatus on the Nintendo Wii U, producing only a moderately popular spin-off, Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival. So the joy was all the greater when Nintendo finally redeemed fans on September 13, 2018, by officially announcing Animal Crossing: New Horizons for the Nintendo Switch. Originally planned for 2019, the title was postponed to March 20, 2020, to prevent the developers from reworking it. Director Aya Kyogoku and producer Hisashi Nogami aimed to offer players the greatest possible freedom in shaping their game world, unlike previous titles. Instead of the traditional village, an island was chosen as the setting, allowing for a previously unattainable level of customization. Houses can be placed anywhere, furniture can now be placed outside the house, trees can be planted, custom paths can be built, and various items can be crafted using materials to best customize the island. For the first time, it was also possible to choose between the northern and southern hemispheres to adjust the seasons according to one's preferences. Despite the many positive news, Nintendo also announced some controversial decisions. For example, access to cloud storage will only be possible once in the event of a console loss. Furthermore, only one island will be possible per console, which must be shared by all users on the console. This makes New Horizons the first Switch game that does not allow multiple independent save games on the same console. But that won't stop many from booking the Ready-for-the-Island package.
