Part 1 : Making a custom dnd DM screen

I recently got into Dungeons & Dragons, and instead of buying a generic DM screen online, I decided to build my own using a rough-cut slab of mahogany and some leftover maple. The only problem? I don't actually own the right tools for squaring up rough lumber or resawing thick boards. Armed with a brand-new 12-inch Bosch miter saw and a dream, I set out to make a custom, deep-paneled screen (big enough to hide some ridiculously oversized 3D-printed monsters). Along the way, I made a classic rookie mistake with my measurements, hesitated over working with premium hardwood, and had to find some creative workarounds. This is part one of the build—stay tuned for the next video to see how I tackle resawing 9 inches of wood without a bandsaw!
