Formally, it is the center of the country, but many do not know where this region is located. And that’s a shame. Because this is a region where, under one sky, Trypillian metropolises, Scythian treasures, Cossack glory, imperial experiments, the Theater of the Coryphaei, wedding and funeral rites, midwives, healers, witches, various folkloric spirits, and countless local legends all converge. In this video, I’ve compiled everything that best reveals the history and culture of the Kropyvnytskyi region, and the “Baba Yelka” project helped me with this. This video features authentic recordings, ethnographic materials, and stories collected by project participants during their expeditions across the Kropyvnytskyi region.
